If your business shows up on Google, you know reviews, questions and calls arrive every day. The problem is usually time: answering each review, checking what is working and keeping your hours current. In June 2026, Google announced something built for exactly that: connecting Gemini to your Business Profile.
Here is a plain explanation of what Google said and how you can use it.
What Google announced
According to Google's official blog, you can now connect your Google Business Profile to Gemini with a single tap. Once connected, Gemini can see information such as your reviews, customer questions and your profile's performance data.
- Analyze metrics: search impressions, direction requests and calls.
- Draft review replies in your brand's voice.
- Update your hours and other profile details.
Business notebooks
The other new feature is called Business notebooks. It is a space where Gemini brings together your chats, your sources, your Business Profile data and the information from your website. The idea is that you do not have to explain your business from scratch every time.
Google also mentions proactive alerts, for example when customer questions go unanswered, plus recommendations for opportunities and tools to develop campaigns.
Is it available in Mexico yet?
Google said the rollout would be global during June 2026, except for the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. Mexico is not among the exceptions, but availability can vary by account, language and plan, and the article does not specify languages. The simplest way to know is to open the Gemini app with the account that manages your profile and check.
How to make the most of it this week
- Start with reviews. Ask Gemini for a draft reply, read it, adjust it to your style and publish it yourself. Answering quickly and kindly shows customers someone is paying attention.
- Check your numbers once a week. Look at how many people asked for directions or called, and what changed after a promotion.
- Keep your hours current. Holidays, long weekends and vacations are when a profile gets outdated most often.
- Answer pending questions. An unanswered question is a sale getting cold.
An example to picture it
Think of a taco shop in Monterrey that gets twenty reviews a month. Today, the owner answers them when there is time, and sometimes weeks go by. With Gemini connected, they could ask for draft replies in minutes, adjust the tone so it sounds like them and publish the same day. This is only a hypothetical example, but it shows the point: the tool removes repetitive work, and you keep the final decision and the human touch with your customer.
What to watch out for
- Always review before publishing. AI can make mistakes or sound generic. The final reply is yours.
- Mind your permissions. Connect only the account of the person who manages the profile, and remove anyone who no longer works with you.
- It does not replace your website. Gemini uses the information from your profile and your site. If your page is outdated or does not exist, it has less to work with. To strengthen your local presence, also read how to show up on Google Maps.
Keep in mind that Google announced these features in June, so details may change as the rollout continues. Check the official post linked at the end before making decisions.
And if I want to go further
Google's tools help organize your information, but they do not serve your customers for you. If what you need is someone to answer questions, share prices and book appointments on WhatsApp at any hour, that is where a custom AI assistant for your business comes in, with our WhatsApp Assistant from 10,000 pesos plus VAT and 1,900 a month.
We help you decide which tools are actually worth it for your business and get them running.
